Itinerary
Day 1
- Meet at the border crossing in Dashoguz.
- Excursion to the historical sights of Kunya-Urgench (UNESCO World Heritage Site): the mausoleums of Sultan Sanjar, Kutlug-Timur, and Tuglu-Timur Khan, the Gumbezi-Ahmed Madrasah, and the Kyalya Minaret.
- Visit the famous Darvaza gas crater, followed by a traditional dinner and overnight stay in a Turkmen yurt.
Day 2
- Transfer to Ashgabat.
- Visit the Ruhy Turkmenbashi Mosque, the largest mosque in Turkmenistan.
- Sightseeing tour of Ashgabat, including Independence Monument, Arch of Neutrality, Constitution Monument, Alem Cultural and Entertainment Center, Magtymguly Fragi Park, Memorial Complex, and Wedding Palace.
Day 3
- Visit the mountain village of Nokhur to explore its ancestral cemetery, waterfall, and old plane tree.
- Transfer to the natural underground lake Kovata.
- Arrival in Ashgabat in the evening.
Day 4
- Drive from Ashgabat to the city of Mary.
- Sightseeing of Ancient Merv, one of the most ancient regions of Central Asia.
- Visit the mausoleum of Sultan Sanjar, Small and Big Gyz-Kala, the mausoleum of Ibn Zeyd, and the fortresses of Erk-Kala and Gyaur-Kala.
- Check-in at the hotel.
Day 5
- Transfer to the border crossing at Farap for departure.
